addition of length and breadth = perimetre / 2
x + 6 = 20
x = 20 - 6
= 14
so the length is 14m

Answer:
Given:-
The perimeter of a rectangle is 40m and breadth is 6m then what is the length of the rectangle?
To Find:-
The length of the rectangle.
Note:-
●》Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 × ( Length + Breadth ), when it is transposed; Length = [tex] \frac{Perimeter}{2} - Breadth [/tex]
Solution:-
[tex] \huge\red{Perimeter \ \ of \ \ the \ \ rectangle = 40m, Breadth = 6m, Length = ?} [/tex]
☆ According to note first point~
▪︎[tex] Length = \frac{Perimeter}{2} - Breadth [/tex]
▪︎[tex] Length = \frac{40m}{2} - 6m [/tex]
▪︎[tex] Length = 20m - 6m [/tex]
☆ After doing calculations~
▪︎[tex] Length = 14m [/tex]
[tex] \huge\pink{Length = 14m} [/tex]
Checking:-
♤ Let's check that perimeter of rectangle = 2 × ( Length + Breadth ) or not.
• [tex] Perimeter \ \ of \ \ the \ \ rectangle = 2 × ( Length + Breadth ) \ \ ? [/tex]
• [tex] 40m = 2 × ( 14m + 6m ) \ \ ? [/tex]
• [tex] 40m = 2 × 20m \ \ ? [/tex]
• [tex] 40m = 40m \ \ ? [/tex]
♤ Yes!
[tex] \huge\pink{Hence, Proved \ \ that \ \ Length = 14m} [/tex]
Answer:-
Hence, the value of Length = 14m.
