CORRECT QUESTION :-
GIVEN :-
TO FIND :-
TO KNOW :-
HOW TO SOLVE :-
SOLUTION :-
We have ,
From figure ,
♦ CD = PB = 15m
♦ BD = PC = 36m
→ AB = AP + PB
→ 30 = AP + 15
→ AP = 30 - 15
→ AP = 15m
_____________
∆APC is right angled at P ,
Hence , By Pythagoras theorem,
→ AC² = AP² + PC²
→ AC² = 15² + 36²
→ AC² = 225 + 1296
→ AC² = 1521
→ AC = 39m
Hence , distance between the tops of the poles is 39m.
