_________
Nitrogen fixation causes nitrogen (N2) free from any natural or industrial process, which is a relatively inert gas in abundance in the air, adding chemical substances to other elements, to add more-reactive nitrogen compounds such as ammonia, nitrates Or builds nitrites.
In normal circumstances, nitrogen does not react with other elements.
Nevertheless, nitrogenous compounds are found in all fertile soils, in all living things, in many food items, in coal and such naturally occurring chemicals as sodium nitrate (Namapeeta) and ammonia.
Nitrogen is also found in the nucleus of each living cell as one of the chemical components of DNA.
