BhabharBhabar or Bhabhar is a region south of the Lower Himalayas and the Sivalik Hills in Uttarakhand state of India. It is the alluvial apron of sediments washed down from the Sivaliks along the northern edge of the Indo-Gangetic Plain.

The Bhabar is a narrow belt about 8-10km wide running in East to west direction along the foot of the Shiwaliks of Himalayan Range with a remarkable continuity from the Indus to the Tista. The Bhabar belt is comparatively narrow in the east and extensive in the western and north-western hilly region. The area is not suitable for agriculture and only big trees with large roots thrive in this belt.
