Martin Luther King Jr. was the chosen president for the Montgomery Improvement Association. According to him, it was love and not violence that was the most powerful weapon that helped one to achieve anything.He was against the Jim Crow laws that were two separate sets of laws for the blacks and whites. Martin Luther King encouraged people to violate laws if they were found to be unjust. Thus, he was actively involved in the fight for equal rights for the blacks in America.
JIm crew laws basicly separates white ans black people on different laws .So the Martin stood up against these and play role for the equal rights of the black people. Because of his work he also recieve the noble peace prize in the year 1964
