Latent heat of vaporisation is higher than latent heat of fusion bcoz "The energy required to completely separate molecules, moving from liquid to gas, is much greater that if you were just to reduce their separation, Solid to liquid". Hence, the reason why latent heat of vaporisation is greater than latent heat of fusion
