When a light travels from a rarer medium (less refractive index) to denser medium (higher refractive index), its speed decreases and vice-versa. Hence, speed of light in second medium is less than that in first medium......

Answer: Transparent seems clear.we can easily see through it. And Homogeneous implies the density of material at any point is same ,i.e you can pick any point the refractive index will be same . It is not vary from point to point.
So Len's is called Homogeneous transparent medium.
