Capt. Batra faced many encounters during his posting in the J&K, and he met all of them bravely. Despite the odds stacked against him, he fearlessly charged into enemy territory, engaging in close combat and eliminating enemy positions. His selfless act saved the life of his comrade, but tragically, Vikram Batra lost his own life in the process.
