Akshi Upanishad Definition :::---
Akshi Upanishad is called so because it mainly describes the importance and other aspects of eyes. The original text was written in Sanskrit.
Akshi Upanishad also talks about the accumulation of every thing that is mortal and visible to our eyes.
Akshi Upanishad Part
Akshi Upanishad has been explained by the thoughts of various saints and also the questions and answers in the middle of the Upanishad. The Upanishad thus, has been divided into two categories which tell us about the importance and different aspects of eyes and also give us the knowledge of Yoga. Akshi Upanishad also determines various ways to protect your eyes.
Akshi Upanishad First Part
Akshi Upanishad gives a beautiful description of Lord Sun. Lord Sun has been thanked for being such an important part in the circle of life and prayers have been offered to protect every man’s eyes. Lord Sun has been thanked because life on the planet is only possible because of the existence of the sun.
Saints have descrbed the importance of eyes and have said that people offering their prayers to Lord Sun are free from any sort of eye problems. Various diseases can also be cured by the methods depicted in the Chakshu Vidya. Emphasis has been given on offering prayers to God so that one can have a disease-free and a peaceful life and can work in the world without any problems.
Saints offer their prayers to Lord Sun asking for peace in the world and asking Lord Sun to free the people from all lies so that they can see and speak the truth and trust each other in order to live in harmony. Prayers are also offered asking for salvation.
Om Asto Ma Sadramaya. Tamso Ma Jyotirgmaya. Mrityurmamratam. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.
Akshi Upanishad Second Part
In the second part of Akshi Upanishad, saints ask Lord Sun for education towards enlightenment so that they can acquire Lord Brahma’s knowledge to excel in this world. In reply, Lord Sun says that when a soul comes together with God and doesn’t allow anything else to come in between, the soul reaches the maximum point of Yoga sadhna.
Lord Sun tells the saints that knowledge can only be acquired through peace and principles. He also says that Yoga sadhna is sulfilled only when you dont allow material wants to come in between your soul and God. A person can only achieve salvation when he is free from all worldly matters. People should believe in Karna and fulfill their responsibilities.
Such a person always has a tender heart filled with charitable works that he wants to do. Such a person is free from sins and delusions and is close to salvation. Such a person stays in good company and walks on the footsteps of Saints and other good people. He is also liked by everyone out of respect because of his nature.
