Nokia shot up mainly because of its durability. However, its the era of smart-phones now, which doesn't call just for durability or a good user interface but also a good OS and speed. That is where, I feel, Nokia phones fall short. I'm sorry if you find it offensive but in my opinion, Nokia Lumia are the worst of phones. Whoever I know possessing these series of phones (especially 610 and 710), they've had problems all the time. I'm not sure but I think Lumia 710 doesn't even have bluetooth in it. So what if whatsapp is in rage which allows media files to get transferred?? Even the low end phones these days have blue-tooth (though I'm not sure regarding this nugget of info).
I think Nokia phones with qwerty keypad ones work pretty good. Again, I have seen that whoever possesses qwerty keypad phone of Nokia were happy with its working. I believe, Nokia are good now, only if you require a phone for its most basic use (calling, texting, for music and clicking photos etc). Its smart-phones don't provide that utility which means much much broader usage, much like a computer. In my opinion, Samsung phones are the best. They have myriad of models available within numerous price ranges. Moreover, you get the reliability of Android unlike Nokia phones which run on Windows OS. I am not belittling Windows, but as far as OS for smart-phones is concerned, Android is a surefire success.
INR 9000 just to get a phone repaired is a waste of money I feel. You are better off, investing a little more amount of money and settling for a mid-range Samsung phone. I agree you have a brand loyalty towards Nokia but sometimes switching over to other brands prove to be fruitful especially when they are already a success. Moreover, if put in Rs. 9000 and get the screen mended, won't you again have to run from pillar to posts to get the software updated and what not? Either way you've to spend money now. So, maybe you can splurge on a Samsung phone now (a mid-range one preferably) and can see for yourself whether you are comfortable using it. If you find them good enough, you never know, your next phone could be a Samsung one!
Btw - you can get Samsung Galaxy Ace easily with Rs. 9000, which is, apparently, the most successful phone of Samsung. Just telling. :)
Are Nokia Phones Good
Best Nokia Phone
Nokia is still doing good in rural areas and villages, still they are the most trusted but when it comes to urban places 8 out of 10 will be having either Samsung, iPhone, or some other brand. Nokia should also launch android phones but they are stubborn. Not all can be like APPLE.
The time of the Nokia Mobile Phone has been gone . For best uses you can try samsung Mobile Phone or Sony Mobie Phone. Both are the Best.
Yes. You should try the Nokia Lumia 928.

Well we have had a very nice experience with Nokia phones(Including Lumias). i'd say they are better than Samsung phones.
There was a time when nokia ruled with Symbian. it was actually a legen - wait for it - dary os. but with windows phone 8 there are some issues this os is not totally matured yet, but yeah there are still good phones out there. the newest lumia series is awesome.
nokia phones are still good but most people have changed to Samsung and blackberry phones, i still love nokia phones and there are still great phones out there.
