Bail is a right. Even a successful murder is subject to bail. Bail can only be denied if the accused is either a flight risk or at risk of re-offending.
Sometimes the Judge has no reason to deny bail - remember you are innocent until proven guilty - but he feels the suspect is .............so makes bail at a million dollars or something high.
