I'm from England and have always said it: Gin-ee-vra. But I watched A Very Potter Musical and did some research and some people say it Juh-nev-ra.
So, are they both right, and if not which is? Or is it a matter of the UK's pronunciation and the USA's.
But then again, it's an Italian name and they all say Gin-ee-vra.

The Welsh pronunciation is gi-NAVE-ra or gi-NEV-ra which would be the more common British pronunciation and hence more likely to be picked up by other English-speaking countries like the USA.
The Italian gi-NEEV-ra is probably more common on the continent.
