American notionality, or American Airlines? Minimum 6 figures for major carriers. They make good money. Been a while since I worked for an airline, but they were making 200k and up depending on airline and seniority, and where they fly, domestic/international
A brand new airline pilot, flying a smaller plane doesn't make much at all, around $35K. (There is a large supply of pilots that are trying to become career airline pilots) On the other hand, the upper crust pilots with many years of experience, flying larger planes, to overseas destinations can make well over $200k. It just depends on where you are in your career, kinda like a businessman. There is a huge range.

click on the legacy tab on the right side under Airline Profiles, click American Airlines, at the bottom you will find a pay calculator.
