Okay, so I have a huge mole on my forehead and I'm tired of being so self-conscious over it, so I am getting it removed.
It's definitely not a health risk (it's genetic), it's on my forehead, and is about the size of a very big pimple.
How much do you think a dermatologist appointment and the removal would cost?

I had one on my cheek, also, and I scratched & scratched it, until it pop out. But, it got darker & bigger, since I'm driving exposed to the sun, so I repeated that one year it was flat & it never came back. But the 2nd year, it came back again. Since I liked where it was, it was like a beauty mark, that I started adding eyebrow pencil to darken it. The last year, i popped it, now it's as flat & as light as my own skin. But I continue to avoid the sun, by wearing a wide brim hat or umbrella, and I've been self-conscious about my skin since age 9. Dermatologist have seen it, so there's no worry about cancer.

There are good moles and there are bad moles. Elizabeth Taylor has good mole, and when I had a pimple that never went away, it was in the same area where Liz' mole was, I felt blessed! But, it got infected because I picked on it & picked on it when it got bumpy, it had been on my face for 4 years. One year it didn't get bumpy, so it was flat for one year after that. I picked on it again, and now it's flat and it's almost faded - like any acne on our faces!!!! But usually, I even try to darken it with eyebrow pencil. I've always have clear complexion, but I noticed when it gets cloudy I couldn't protect myself from the heat, so that's why it got bumpy again.
My aunts, my mom and two of mom's in-laws have the same chin moles like you described, since they were teenagers. When they have photos together, you could say they could have been separated from birth! I'm not making this up.
I had a mole on my thigh that was throbbing. It was the size of a pencil eraser. Dermatologist told me it wasn't cancer, but I had it removed (3 stitches) but it got infected. I couldn't keep water from it when I take a shower and it left me a 3" scar, but it was still throbbing. My other dermatologist injected something around it, and it got flatter, but the throbbing stopped. That was 6 years ago, but the throbbing starts again, but the scar is almost gone. I should have left it alone, but the throbbing was annoying me!
Skin moles happen to be hyper-pigmentation upon your skin. These can get taken off through surgery treatment, or simply by using many products or homemade remedies.
Surgery is high-priced, charging anywhere from $125 to $500 yet it can produce scarring damage. Home cures usually are affordable and also could remove ugly moles inside just a couple of days while not leaving scar issues.
Do-it-yourself solutions may inlcude garlic, fresh juice from sour apples, as well as baking soda and castor oil applied during several days.
Everyone does charge differently depending on the city you live in, mole size, location of the mole and some other variables. The average cost is around $400.00.
