No its not a word the noun for confuse is confusion
It's more than just 'confusion'. It is the act of confusing someone for your amusement.
If you are French, yes it is their equivalent of confused. If you look at the following site you will see it is accepted in the social dictionary, but not really in the regular English language dictionary.
