Hi, I'm starting a new school soon and at my previous school and in everyday situations I go red really easily like if people were looking at me or someone was talking to me especially teachers. I now look anywhere but the person im talking to to avoid them noticing my face and it looks like im being rude. Will Veil cover cream completely cover it or just normal foundation? Its holding me back and I want to start fresh in this new school, please don't recommended building confidence or anything I think the make up will build my confidence so then I wont have to wear it, thanks.
You have rosacea.
I have it, too. :)
I would try using Clinique's Anti-Redness line - loose powder, pressed powder and a moisturizer.
They work wonders. The powder is yellow and cancels out the redness but it also cools and calms the skin and feels really good. And it actually works. You can try it out at Sephora - that's how I found it.
But I feel so much more at ease when I use it.
Aveeno has some products for redness, too - a cleanser and a moisturizer, I think. But the moisturizer doesn't have an SPF, which rosacea sufferers need.
For just general redness, I've also used the L'Oreal's Studio Secrets in Secret No. 2, Anti-Redness Primer.
This stuff works great, but it has very small glitter/sparkle, which I hate and can't for the life of me understand. But you might like it and yes, it absolutely works and lasts a long time.
There are also prescription medications you can take for rosacea, as well as a cream sold over the counter, but I can't remember the name of it - I think it had the word "rosacea" in it and it's a white box with red and black lettering, maybe. It's available at major drugstores. Just ask if you can't find it.
Meditation also helps to keep you balanced and calm and helps to alleviate the everyday nerves.
Hope this helps.
Rosacea isn't fun and I understand how you feel, but just know you're not the only one out there.
Good luck!
I naturally blush easily too, and when I blush I go completely cherry red, which is really embarrassing and tends to get me laughed at. I actually use a bb cream, it tints your skin so people can still see a cute little blush instead of a big red mess and I don't look plastic, another plus is it's not as harsh on your skin
