I have the water hooked and on the all hoses and stuff is connected and it runs. It will not pressureise the water though. It is a troy bilt model 020245. with a MTPV90736 pump. I took the pump apart and the pistons are moving but no pressure. Any suggestions? It had a cracked tube where the pressure hose connects. I took that off and replaced it with a brass pipe.
My troy bilt pressure washer runs but does not pressure the water what could be the cause?

is it turning the pump? sounds like the coupling between the motor and pump is slipping.
I have a Troy-bilt washer and here is what the manual says.If failure to produce pressure 1) Nozzel in low pressure mode. 2) Water inlet is blocked. 3) Inlet hose kinked or leaking. 4) Clogged inlet hose strainer. 5) gun leaks. 6) Nozzle obstructed. 7) Pump is faulty. Hope this helps.
