Rice is actually very healthy! You could switch to brown rice, I guess, but I'm not sure that would help you lose any weight...
I don't think you should stop eating rice, especially if you've eaten it for so long. You could change the amount, but completely stopping is going to upset your digestive system! Consider the other things you eat instead.
