It can be anything from white to off-white to tan or yellowish or even orangish. It depends on the process they used to make it, and what additives are in it.
Whey is a byproduct of cheese-making, so the color of the whey depends a lot on the color of the cheese. Most cheeses are naturally white or off-white, but can have other hues depending on the milk used to make them.
Don't order cheap protein unless your 100% sure it's good quality.
Read the information on the back and decide whether you want to use it or not. I suggest you toss it and buy the real deal.
