Red Wine, in fact all grape based wine, is simply fermented grape juice.
Rum is fermented sugar which is then distilled
You can drink redwine as it is. Rum is better drunk with cool drink or some additive rather than on the rocks
Most people mix rum with other stuff to drink it. Red wine is drank without mixing. If you drank the equivalent volume of rum as wine, the rum would make you more drunk.
To answer in a simple and short way: Wine is the product of chemical action as a result of fermentation. Whereas Rum is made by distillation process.
Red wine is made from dark violet grapes, adding yeast and sugar.Once fermentation in completed it is collected and stored.It is taken as it is. no water added. Alcohol content is minimal.
Rum is a hard drink made from sugar cane or molasses by process of fermentation.
It is taken diluted with water. Alcohol content is more
