It is my favourite, too, and it seems many just have not acquired the taste for it.
I have never heard that one before, sounds a bit contrived, but because I am not a chocolate lover, I dont care anyway what colour the chocolate is, when I do occaisionally eat it, I like the chocolate to a have a good taste, best ones are Cadbury and some of foreign makes like Ritter.
I don't really like it because it tastes bitter. I like regular chocolate or white chocolate because it's sweet. I've never really liked dark chocolate for some reason.
I prefer it actually. I don't like super sweet chocolate. Dark chocolate is rich and flavorful and it's sweet, just not sickeningly sweet.
My guess would be because it has somewhat of a bitter taste to it. Likewise, they've linked certain tastes to genetics (though not always).
It tastes bitter, not at all like chocolate should be.
