I've got my wrist tattoo for 6 days but it seems to be not healing at all!!! I keep it clean, use vaselin at least 3 times/day but it isn't dry and heal! It was itchy in 3 days but now it's fine. Not red or some kinds of injection. What can I do now? Is it ok?
This is my second tattoo. The first one is on the nape of my neck, just took 4 days to heal, so I really worry at this time. Please help me! Thanks a lot!

My wrist tattoo took 3 weeks to heal completely. Its a highly mobile area and may take a while on you. Be patient, it will heal.
Definitely not what I would use to heal a tattoo, unless you have found that it works perfectly for you. I suggest investing in some Aquaphor ointment. To answer the question, I got a wrist tattoo that was good to go in what seemed like a week or less. I used Aquaphor, and washed it occasionally with antibacterial soap by Dial. It comes in a bottle, not a bar of soap. Of course, the wrist is an area of the skin that is highly accessible to the elements, so it requires more attention than most other areas to make sure it is kept clean. This is true even if you do not think you have been in any environment where your tattoo may have become extremely dirty. If you work in a field that requires your wrist or any tattooed areas thereafter to be completely submerged in water (i.e. washing dishes for a restaurant), be exposed to prolonged sunlight, ALWAYS be conscious that it is there! Take pride in your artistic investment just the same you would, say, a classic muscle car. You'll be driving this one for life.
Vaseline is the worst thing to use. Draws out color.
Just hang in there, your wrist gets banged about more than you think and takes a bit longer to heal. Just make sure to keep it clean and moist (Try Burt's Bees Rescue Ointment or Aquaphor).
probably because your using Vaseline on it !! Vaseline is used by the tattoist so that they can wipe away any ink, its waterproof and cleans easily. You don't use Vaseline on a finished tattoo as air can't get to it therefore it takes longer to heal. I found Bepanthen nappy cream the best yet.
